Eric Thomson
Wine Country EMT is led by Eric Thomson, an experienced operations professional with a long background in emergency preparedness, medical services coordination, and program management.
Eric is also the founder of Survival AED, a Sonoma County–based company that has worked with schools, wineries, businesses, and organizations to improve emergency readiness through AED programs, inspections, training coordination, and compliance support. That work provided extensive exposure to how organizations plan for emergencies—and how critical it is to have qualified medical professionals in place when care is needed.
As Chief Executive Officer at Wine Country EMT, Eric oversees staffing logistics, client coordination, and program execution, ensuring that medical personnel are properly matched to each camp, facility, or event and that coverage runs smoothly from start to finish.
Dr. Tuck Bierbaum, MD
Wine Country EMT operates under the medical leadership of Dr. Tuck Bierbaum, an experienced, board certified emergency medical physician with a background in medical-legal testimony.
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Bierbaum provides clinical oversight and guidance to ensure that Wine Country EMT’s services align with appropriate medical standards and best practices. His role supports quality assurance, clinical decision-making frameworks, and professional accountability across the organization’s medical staffing operations.
This medical oversight is especially important in camp and residential environments, where providers must balance day-to-day care, emergency response readiness, and clear communication with administrators and families.
